Linda S. Imler, 57, of Altoona, died late Monday evening, May 11, 2009, at her residence.

She was born June 6, 1951, in Altoona, a daughter of Harry I. Imler and the late Lois Wilson Imler. Surviving are a son, Chad M. (Mercedes) Imler of California; two grandchildren: Matthew and Zachary; a twin sister, Sandra K. Lidwell (Richard) in Florida; a sister, Sally J. Earnest (Robert) of Altoona; and her father, Harry, of Arizona.

Linda retired in 2005 after eight years' service as a corrections officer at the State Correctional Institution at Houtzdale. She was a 1969 graduate of Altoona Area High School.

At Linda's prior request, there will be no visitation or services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1004 N. Juniata St., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
