Elaine L. Walters, age 63, of West Hempfield Twp., died peacefully at home, Saturday, March 7, 2015. Born in Altoona, she was the daughter of Phyllis (Gibboney) Goetz of Altoona and the late Richard Goetz. Elaine was the loving wife of Daniel J. Walters; they were married September 18, 1971. Always a loving and caring person who enjoyed caring for senior citizens, she went into a career as an L.P.N. for Homestead Village and later for St. Anne's Retirement Community. Elaine enjoyed sewing, reading, and gardening. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and mother, Elaine is survived by her sons: Daniel J. husband of Mary Walters of Lancaster; David Walters of Philadelphia; Justin L. husband of Jodie Walters of Ostrander, OH, her sisters: Eve Anne wife of Paul Ruscio of Scituate, MA; Beth Goetz of Martinsburg, and her 6 grandchildren.
A memorial service for Elaine will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015, from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 247 Main Street, Landisville, at 2pm (the family will receive friends from 1-2pm) with the Reverend Al Frank officiating.
