Joseph Zimmerer Sr.

 Joseph Zimmerer Sr., 60, Altoona, passed away Thursday.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Herman and Dorothy (London) Zimmerer. He married Marjorie Lorraine Snyder Aug. 5, 2005, in Riggles Gap.

Surviving are his wife Margie; two children: Wayne Jr. and wife, Hollyn, of Waynesboro and Scott and wife, Sommer, of Altoona; a stepson, Barry Snyder Jr. of Blandburg; six grandchildren: Morgen, Patrick, Ashley, Caleb, Madison and Blake; and a sister, Nancy Leahey and husband, Fred, of Altoona.

Wayne was a 1967 graduate of Altoona Area High School. He was the owner of W&M Unlimited. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home Inc., 2309 Broad Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor William C. Ice officiating. Interment will held at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
