Graduated from PSU in 1973, Public Service BA
Spent 6 years in the US Army. First son Keith was born in 1976. Second son Grant was born in 1980, three months after I left the Army and 2 weeks before I Joined Procter & Gamble in 1980 as a Traffic Analyst.
Worked 21 years with P&G in the US and also in Poland, Romania and Japan. Third son Alexander was born in 1998. Left P&G in 2001 and moved to Kauai, Hawaii. Opened a restaurant, The Big Kahuna. Got tired of working 7 days a week and losing money so we left paradise and moved to The Netherlands and landed a job back with the Iams Company, which is part of P&G.
After a little more than 4 years living and working in The Netherlands, I retired and moved back to Cincinatti, OH in Aug. 2007.
I have always liked to travel and have visited well over 50 countries since graduating from AAHS.
I keep busy doing some volunteer work and can spent a lot of time helping to raise and enjoying my son Alex.

Gradeschool

Jr High School

School Story:

I suppose my best memories of AAHS come from my participation with the Key Club and with my being in a few of the school plays directed by our beloved Miss Mauer. I always thought she was so old. The jokes on us "cause I am probably a few years older now than she was then. Funny how your perspective changes. Hell, a big day for me now is one where I go to the local Kroger market for groceries. And how about a real highlight of the week when I go to Wal*Mart.
Back to High School, I remember ringing the bell for the Salvation Army as part of a Key Club community service project. I do that now three times a week during the Christmas season. I also remember singing Christmas carols at a local orphanage and visiting the sick kids at the hospital in Cresson. I lost my HS ring in a snow ball fight up there and was very lucky to find it the following Spring. I also have fond memories of the many social events like hayrides and other parties with Key Club. One particular party at some hunt club, I can recall Steve Papas treating us all to a stiring rendition of the Beachboys classic "Good Vibrations."
I also remember getting Mono the fall of my senior year and missing 6 weeks of school. Those few smootches in the back of the bus coming back from a football game with Bonnie H (don't remember her last name but do remembr her Dad was the superintendent of schools) were not worth the time out of school.
I also have vivid recollections of getting paddled from Ray Nycum in English and Frank Rossenhoover in math. I was always thought I was such a good kid but even so got swatted. I don't guess they do that any more.

Jack was a great guy and I am sad that he passed. I knew Jack from Baker Elementary. It was nice catching up with him at our various reunions. He will be missed. Cub

Steve, How goes it? Let me check your memory. It was sometime in 1968 . We were at a Key Club party at some rental space out in the boonies. There was music and a microphone. The Beach Boys' Good Vibrations came on and you grabbed the mike and sang the song. Quite well as I recall. Do you have a memory of this? And what does "sportsurfacing" mean? All the best! Cub

Hi classmates. Just last week I watched the movie Woodstock the directors cut. I was wondering if anyone from our class attended Woodstock in person? Anyone?
