Most of the time I've been a stay-at-home mom. I've had some part-time jobs, but no real career path. Volunteer actively at my church and did some volunteering at my girls' school. I'm very fortunate - I've had a nice steady, secure, and so far healthy life. For those of you who knew my family, my mother (now age 95) and my sister Beth (who has Down's Syndrome, and is now age 59) moved from Altoona to an apartment within 2 miles of my home here in Wayne, PA. See photo taken last summer at my nephew's wedding. My mom looks trerrific and is terrific for her age. My sister Beth has had a decline in health. In short, my time now focuses on making myself available to them, as needed. |

My memories - in brief:
Loved being part of the band and majorettes.
Loved the big-time football games.
Fondly recall the unique relationship AAHS had with the Jaffa Mosque - basketball games, proms, graduations.
I always had EXCELLENT math teachers.
Had only a FEW GREAT English teachers, but I still think of my 7th grade English teacher, Miss Crist, everytime I address an envelope. She insisted on neat and stylish penmanship for hand written letters!
Even today, people are amazed that we had almost 1000 in our graduating class! (I believe the exact munber was 971). |
