Patricia M. "Patty" Schultz, 64, Altoona, passed away Thursday at her residence after an extended illness.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late John and Alean (Stout) Lilly. On Dec. 27, 1975, she married Leroy T. "Lee" Schultz in California.

Surviving are her husband, Lee; a son, Michael Schultz (Jackie N.) in Virginia; a stepdaughter, Jasmine Fowler (Doug) of Altoona; a stepson, David Schultz (Judy) in California; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren in California. She is also survived by five brothers: Marlin (Ginny) in Kentucky, Donald in Missouri, John (Kathy) in North Carolina, Joseph (Mary) of Altoona and Gregory in Maryland; two sisters: Kathleen in Texas and Rosemary (Loren) in Maryland; and many nieces and nephews.

Patty was a 1969 graduate of Altoona Area High School. For a short time, she lived in Falls Church, Va., and worked for the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Co. In 1975, she moved to Fort Bragg, Calif., where she married her husband, Lee. One year later, she and her husband opened their printing company, S&S Printing, which they owned and operated for 22 years before selling the business and retiring to Altoona in 1998. She was also employed at Henderson Printing for a few years after her retirement.

Patty was a kind person and a passionate wife and mother. She loved to work with flowers and spent many days working in her yard during the summer. She also was an avid reader and she loved animals. For many years, she was a member of First Church of Christ on Good Shepherd Lane and Juniata Gap Road.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2016, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona. A funeral will follow at 11 a.m., in Stevens Memorial Chapel, Pastor John Collins officiating. A private interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.

The family requests that donations in memory of Patty be made to Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
