Benjamin Franklin “Ben” Harman III, 54, Queens Run, Woolrich, formerly of Altoona, passed away Friday at Geisinger Medical Center after being admitted Thursday.  He was born in Lock Haven, son of Benjamin F. Jr. and Olive Jane (Hibbler) Harman.  He married Katherine A. Cowfer May 3, 1975, and they celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.

 

Mr. Harman worked as an electrician for Norfolk Southern Railroad for 30 years.  He was a member of Caldwell United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

 

Surviving are his wife; a son, Todd of Altoona; two grandchildren; a sister, Seri Neuder of San Antonia, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct 6, 2005, at First United Methodist Church, 127 Seventh St., Renovo, Pa., with Pastor Marian Anderson officiating.  Friends and relatives will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.   Interment at North Bend Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St., Renovo.
