My husband and I will be celebrating our 40th anniversary next year and are planning a land & cruise trip to Alaska in August. Keeping my fingers crossed the COVID mess is settled down by then.
My Dad passed away in 1999 after suffering with Alzheimers and my Mom passed away in 2005. Mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in December and was gone six months later. I decided that life was too short to be stressed out over work and retired in 2006.
My husband retired from Verizon in 2001 and works part time doing telephone work and catering. We do a lot of traveling, and our favorite place is Yellowstone National Park. We have been there five times, driving cross country to get there, and are planning another trip starting the end of August, 2021. We have traveled to Oregon/Washington, Puerto Vallarta, Maine, Nova Scotia, Lake Louise and Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada, Europe, the Outer Banks, Finger Lakes in New York, Shenandoah National Park, the Grand Canyon, Iceland as well as other National Parks. We are trying to visit as many Parks as we can. We have also been on numerous cruises to the Caribbean.
