James T. Crawford, 48, 103 14th St., died late Tuesday evening, May 13, 1997, at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring, following a brief illness.

 

He was born Jan. 18, 1949, in Altoona, the son of William Albert and Ellen Nancy (Greenawalt) Crawford.  He married Marie R. Spinazzola May 9, 1997, in Winchester, Va.

 

Mr. Crawford had been employed in the procurement department of Beasley Manufacturing and also at Ace Hardware.  H was a drummer for The Little Bar Band.  Mr. Crawford enjoyed golfing, bowling and music.  He was a member of the Duncansville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.

 

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Erin of Hollidaysburg: two stepdaughters: Lisa M. Amato, at home, and Evelyn I. Dunn of Altoona; four sisters: Nancy Sitman of Bellwood, Betty Whitaker of Sterling, Ill., and Dorothy Benson and Ellen Black, both of Huntingdon; and two brothers: William A. of Altoona and Kenneth L. of Fort Worth, Texas.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Eugene Crawford; and a sister, Mary Margaret Phillips.

 

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
